July Volunteer Event

July is almost here, Austin Involved members (and not-yet-members)!

Our July volunteer event is scheduled for Saturday, July 31st.  This one is bound to be a LOT different from our previous events.  Most importantly, we’ll be in nice clothes!

Instead of using our muscles and brute strength to help a local nonprofit, this time we’ll be using our charming personalities acting as ushers, greeters, ticket takers and general assistants at the Lights. Camera. Help nonprofit film festival.  Once everyone is in their seats and the films start rolling, we’ll be able to watch all the films and learn about charitable need worldwide.  And at the end, they’ve invited us to the film festival wrap party to raise our glasses and celebrate with the filmmakers and nonprofits.

Lights. Camera. Help. is the world’s first film festival dedicated to nonprofit and cause-driven films, and it’s based in our hometown! Winners of the film festival receive a donation for their featured charity.

Join us on July 31st from 1pm to 7pm (but stay after for the party!).  And while you are RSVPing, don’t forget to join us for the June volunteer event on Sunday, June 27th.  Our local nonprofits thank you for all the help you’ve given so far this year!
