From the Founders:

The thought behind Austin Involved is simple: give Austinites a chance to Discover, Do and Donate in meaningful ways as a cohesive group, the way we and our friends would want to do it.

Members of Austin Involved have the opportunity every month to learn about local nonprofits, vote on their choice of inspiring organizations, and give a donation of a small amount of time and money to that organization.  Each month, our members contribute $25, and then vote on which of the charities they’d like to win our time and money.  Then we follow our money and see where it goes by giving of our time to a service project at our chosen nonprofit.  By giving both our time and our money together, we are educating ourselves as the future patrons, volunteers and philanthropists of Austin.

If you thought you didn’t have enough time, money or know-how to contribute to Austin’s greatest needs – now you do.  Because we leverage our potential as a large group, our monthly investment of $25 each plus a few hours of volunteer time will multiply to make a huge impact on the philanthropies in Austin who need our help.

But it is the impact on us – as volunteers and donors – that will be immeasurable.  Come get involved as we meet the innovative, inspiring and tireless nonprofit organizations that drive our great city.  Are you in?
